Terms of service

Plain-English terms for using AK.VIZ — the portfolio site, the chart agent, and bespoke commissions. Last updated 7 July 2026.

1. Who we are

AK.VIZ ("we") is an independent data-visualization studio. A company registration in Croatia is in progress; the registered operator's details will be published here upon incorporation. Contact: via LinkedIn.

2. What the service is

The AK.VIZ agent turns tabular data you upload (CSV and similar) into interactive charts. Chart proposals are free within fair-use limits; generating a finished chart consumes a paid credit. Bespoke commissions are agreed separately in writing.

3. Your data — ownership and responsibility

  • You keep all rights to the data you upload. We claim none.
  • You warrant that you have the right to use and process the data you upload — that it is yours, licensed to you, or lawfully public. Do not upload data you are not authorized to use (e.g. a data vendor's licensed feed, your employer's confidential exports, scraped content that prohibits reuse).
  • Do not upload personal data (names, emails, IDs of individuals) or special-category/sensitive data. The service is built for aggregate business, market and statistical data. If you do upload personal data, you act as its controller and are responsible for having a lawful basis.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your data. The agent computes every number on the chart from the data you supply — it does not verify your data against the real world.

4. What you get — license to output

  • The chart file generated from your data is yours. You may use it commercially, modify it, publish it, and remove or keep the "Made with AK.VIZ" credit.
  • Generated charts are signed "Made with AK.VIZ" in the footer — a tool credit, not an analysis credit. Pro Pack purchases are white-label: charts generate with no AK.VIZ credit. Charts personally analyzed and signed by AK.VIZ are commissioned separately.
  • The AK.VIZ engine, templates, prompts, site design and portfolio charts remain our property. Buying a chart does not license the underlying template library.

5. Credits, payment and refunds

  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Credits are consumed when a generation starts. If a generation fails, the credit is refunded to your balance automatically.
  • Each generated chart includes a set number of free refinements — four on Single, five on Studio, seven on Pro — available for 24 hours after generation. Returning to an earlier version of a chart is always free and does not use one.
  • Credits are tied to the browser identity they were bought with; they are not transferable. If you clear your browser storage and lose your balance, contact us with your Stripe receipt — we will restore it.
  • By purchasing you agree that delivery of digital content begins immediately, and — where EU/UK consumer law applies — you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is waived once generation starts. Unused credit packs bought by consumers within the last 14 days can be refunded on request.

6. Fair use and acceptable use

  • Free proposals are rate-limited per day. Automated scraping, bulk abuse, attempts to extract the underlying prompts/templates, or circumventing billing are prohibited.
  • Do not use the service to produce charts that are deliberately misleading, defamatory or unlawful.

7. No professional advice

Charts are a presentation of your data, not financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. Headline figures are computed from the data you provide; validate before you rely on them in decisions.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made on the basis of charts generated from your data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because the data you uploaded infringed their rights, you agree to indemnify us for the resulting costs and damages.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your own country.
